Love Unstoppable, Fred Hammond’s first CD in three years, debuted in the number one spot on the Billboard Gospel Album chart, making it his sixth CD to hit the charts in the top spot.
The album also sits at #25 on the Billboard Digital albums charts and #26 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Charts, marking his highest entry point on those charts in his career.
During his release week, Hammond made appearances at Chicago’s Harold Washington Cultural Center for a mini-concert at Stonecrest Mall in Atlanta before 1,000 fans.
“After three years away from the studio there was so much that I had to say, and I poured all of myself into these songs. Making this record was therapeutic in many ways, and it was also a joyful process because of the people I was able to work with,” Hammond said in an interview with this label, Verity Gospel Music Group.
Hammond will be featured in a one-hour special during the upcoming season of BET’s Bobby Jones Gospel, and has a special guest appearance in the play “Clean Up Woman.” Fred Hammond’s new CD Love Unstoppable is in stores now.
