20 Year Old JOSEPH PERRY, from Walthamstow in East London, is releasing his first EP on Saturday 11th December. This 5 Track CD is entitled ‘MY CREATOR’ and has a range of songs that will attract, encourage and challenge it’s listeners.

ff
Songs on the CD include the up-tempo ‘Amazing Grace’, rock infused ‘Day that I die’, ‘You will endure’, ‘Teach us to Love’ featuring JC Henry and the title track, ‘My Creator is God’.

dd
Joseph states that he was ‘personally encouraged during the writing of this EP because as you will hear each song is a message from God to his Child, the listener.’ “I love the ability to express our awe and gratitude towards the God who so loves us and who does so regardless of our hangups.

gg
The great thing about worship is that it is something that is lived out. John 4:23 tells us God isn’t necessarily looking for worship, but for worshippers! As my worship is lived out on a daily basis, others around me who don’t know about God get to encounter His goodness and His love!”- Joseph Perry

gg
Joseph Perry has spent several years
leading worship and playing the keyboard
at national christian events and for various
recording artists including renowned
Worship leaders Graham Kendrick, Noel
Robinson, Steve and Velveta Thompson &
Helen Yousaf. He regularly leads worship
at his local church ‘City Gates Christian
Centre’ in Ilford, Essex under the
leadership of Pastor Steven Derbyshire.

It seems that Tye Tribbett and Greater Anointing will be parting ways. It is being reported that in 2010 Tye will be launching a solo career and that their New Year’s Eve concert in Washingotn was the last event that he would be doing with Greater Anointing. Tye apparently broke the news of his decision to his choir members
at a rehersal and it didn’t go down too well.

In 2009 Tye went through a number of personal situations which were reported around the world. He bounced back and went back to performing and ministering both in the US and the Caribbean including Jamaica.

Always performing with a live band and is known for being theatrical in their performance and Tye doing the splits, Greater Anointing will be missed on the scene.

They were different in their approach, style and presentation and had a strong presence with young people as they came with something fresh.

Artist Ted Win

Don't forget our tickets for your first UK Performance!!!

Singer Ted Winn was raised in Memphis but now calls Atlanta home. However, Winn is quickly being adopted by British soul fans who have fallen in love with the title song from his solo CD debut Balance (Shanachie/TeddysJamz).

The song recently shot to #1 on London’s Starpoint Radio R&B chart where it came in ahead of the latest offerings from established urban artists such as N’Dambi, Najee, Bebe & Cece Winans, Teodross Avery featuring Leela James and J Blackfoot.

The song received steady DJ spins at the recent Prestatyn Soul Weekender in Northern Wales. The mellow upbeat is generating buzz on both the UK British soul circuit and its sister Northern Soul scene. The latter community of listeners usually fancies obscure, up-tempo, soul songs from the 1960s such as Gloria Jones’ “Tainted Love.”

Winn learned of the song’s growing popularity when a British fan sent him an email. “Receiving a message that Balance is being embraced by soul music lovers in London is amazing,” he says. “I wanted to have something on the CD for everybody but that honestly shocked me.

“I can’t wait to travel to London and perform there,” says Winn. “I’ve heard that the fans there bring a unique energy to concerts and I’d love to experience that.”

THIS insightful book is the result of a 10-year quest by author Steve Smith to discover the origins and development of gospel music in Britain. Written in first-person, Smith believes this music’s history should be documented and merits the attention already given to calypso, ska and reggae, all of which – like black British gospel – owe their presence in Britain to Afro-Caribbean immigration.

Using interesting illustrations and commentary by gospel artists, Smith pinpoints key movements in the music, beginning with a UK visit in 1873 of the black American Fisk Jubilee singers, and ending with speculations about British gospel music’s future directions.

Muyiwa_Sunday Best BET Show

Britain’s leading gospel artist Muyiwa is set to reach a new and wider audience following his new appointment as judge on Sunday Best, the hit TV show which brings new gospel talent to the fore. It was first screened in the US in 2008 by its creators leading black TV network, Black Entertainment Television (BET).

Muyiwa will join the panel of judges for the third series, which will include gospel superstar Donnie McClurkin and presenter Grammy Award winning artist Kirk Franklin, when they travel to Nigeria in their search for new artists. Muyiwa will sit alongside them giving his verdict on the up and coming Nigerian gospel talent set to attend the nationwide auditions in the hope of getting TV exposure and winning a record deal.

The Nigerian gospel artist deemed to be the best by the judges will be flown out to America to take part in the Sunday Best final and compete alongside the other finalists for the prize of a recording contract with a major label.

Muyiwa’s appointment as a judge on Sunday Best is the second major project he has undertaken with the international BET TV network. Last year he became the first UK gospel artist and International artist to appear on BET’s popular Celebration of Gospel show, which was broadcast in the US, UK and Europe and Africa.

He commented, “I feel honoured that BET has asked me to be a judge on Sunday Best, a show which is broadcast throughout the world. It’s exciting to play a part in discovering new artists. I am looking forward to hearing the abundance of gospel talent that exists in Nigeria, and playing a part in shaping and honing that talent in front of a TV audience.”
