It’s back! The biggest indoor gospel event in the UK, is returning to Wembley Arena on bank holiday Monday 3 May 2010 and promises to be bigger and better than last year.
With a 2009 line-up that featured Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary and Ann Nesby, the Oraclez Gospel Festival made a huge impact in the scene and attracted thousands of gospel and R’n'B fans. This year, Oraclez returns with another stellar line-up including The Winans Ft CeCe and Bebe,Yolanda Adams, Trin-I-Tee 5:7, George Nooks and Martha Munizzi.
With a staggering line over 20 gospel artists and bands, including Simply Andy, Rachel Kerr, Commission, Roger Samuel, DTWG, Tunday, L Dubzy, Jayess, Adelaide McKenzie, Michaela the Poet, GP, Triple O, Tom & Olly and many more, this prestigious event will recognise and appreciate the very best in British Gospel Music. The UMA’s (Urban Music Awards) returns to the UK to celebrate its 7th anniversary after a successful show in New York earlier on in July this year.
Newcomer, Alexander Burke who is back with a debut album celebrates a record three nominations whilst Tinchy Stryder, JLS, and Mr Hudson all receive nominations for a year that has been truly successful for urban music.

Calvin Harris, Basement Jaxx, Dizzie Rascal, David Guetta, Tinchy Stryder, Alexander Burke, Egypt, Cascada, Mr Hudson, Daniel Merriweather all receive nominations at this year’s 7th annual Urban Music Awards.
In 2009 as in previous years, that UMA’s has a gospel category and it reflects both established artists and rising stars. Nominees include MOBO award recipients Victizzle (2009) and Jahaziel (2008). Also nominated, is the popular Guvna B, 29th Chapter, New Direction Crew and representing the North the Sons of Light from Leeds.
The Urban Music Awards through IMG have helped build and solidify the UK urban music scene for over 10 years and several of the acts nurtured by the UMA have gone on to reign top 10 in the charts. From Dizzee Rascal and M.I.A nominated and winning in 2003 to Alexander Burke in 2004 and not forgetting JLS being crowned ‘Best Unsigned Act’ in 2007. The Urban Music Awards has always been the place to find out past, present and future rising stars.

As, always music fans worldwide who have nominated for all the categories will still get to decide on who gets to win a prestigious UMA award. The awards which is set to be held at a secret location in London on the 1st of November and will only offer limited amount of tickets to members who apply before the 20th of October 2009.
Fan voting has begun for the 25th annual Stellar Awards now through October 3, 2009. Fans will only be allowed to vote once for Artist of the Year by going to the Stellar Awards website.
The fan favorite winner of the “Artist of the Year” award in conjunction with the final ballot will be determined by the results of the first ballot.
And each entry must have been nationally released between July 1, 2008 and August 31, 2009 to be included in the first round ballot.
The fan favorite category started only two years ago.
This years Stellar Awards Celebration will take place on January 16th in Nashville, TN at the Grand Ole Opry.
The awards will feature a pre-concert on Thursday, January 14th and a red carpet event on Friday the 15th.
The awards will take place January 15-16, 2010 at Center Stage Arena (formerly known as Earthlink Live Arena) in USA Atlanta, GA.
Over 100 Live Performances will take place, with Supporters, Ministers of the Gospel (Emcees), Pastors, Churches and Labels arriving from over 146 cities and 40 different states, plus international countries: England, Canada, Japan, Bahamas, Sweden and Australia.
Crowne Plaza Atlanta-Marietta will once again be the official host hotel for the 2010 Holy Hip Hop Artist Showcase, Awards, Ministerial Classes, and Press Rooms.

T-REP The Young Prayzr is the latest artist nominated to receive an award at the 2009 15th Annual Gospel Choice Awards. The 13-year old multi-talent phenom is a contender in the “Best Holy Hip Hop Artist of the Year” category. This makes The Young Prayzr the youngest nominee in the history of the event.
This prestigious black tie event will take place on Monday, September 28 2009, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. Votes can be received via email through Sept. 17th.
During the event ten Atlanta area churches will be honored with the Chosen award. The churches and their pastors are honored for their work in their community.

For the first time in its history the MOBO Awards are moving to Glasgow and will held at the SECC on Wednesday 30th September 2009. This years show will see some of the worlds biggest stars descend on the Scottish city for what will be the best MOBO Awards show to date!
