Bardin & Marsee have partnered with Bible Societies to produce the Waterproof Bible in 6 foreign languages and have so far printed 150,000 Bibles. “People excited for the Waterproof Bible have not just been outdoorsmen; it’s also the active moms, teens, missionaries, soldiers, boy scouts, and pastors,” says Michael Marsee.

“The Bible is the one book you are never finished reading,” says Marsee co-creator of the Waterproof Bible. ‘It just makes sense that your Bible is the most durable long-lasting book you own and that’s just what the Waterproof Bible offers. The Waterproof Bible looks like any other book on the shelf however it is made from thin synthetic plastic pages making it much more durable, giving you worry-free confidence not found with any other paper book or Bible.”

The idea for the Waterproof Bible came from 3 young Christian entrepreneurs who saw the great need to reinvent the way Bibles are made. “We wanted our Bible to be more functional than fashionable, and encourage a, ‘Be Inspired. Anywhere.’ way of life. It was our mission to make the most durable reader friendly Bible,” says Bobby Bardin.

The Waterproof Bible features ultra clear text for easy reading and writing. You can write and underline without worry of bleed thru, enjoy that cup of coffee without worry of staining the pages, take it with you on your local commute or international mission trip without worry of crinkling the pages, and read it over and over without worry of wearing it out. In fact, the Waterproof Bible is the most durable, worry-free Bible on earth.

This acclaimed gospel singer cum pastor preached to his congregation at the Lighthouse Full Centre church on October 17.

Sapp told the 250 strong congregation, “I’m not saying it’s been easy. … It’s been very difficult for me and for my family as a whole. But I do realize the Bible is right: keep holding us up in prayer.”

Malinda had served as administrative pastor at the church, but whilst she was sick, had met with members of the leadership team and shared with them details of the tasks she was responsible for so that the church would be able to function smoothly when she died.

Sapp has resumed some of the musical commitments he had put on hold after his wife’s death. He has rejoined the nationwide “How Sweet the Sound” gospel choir competition, for which he is a performing judge. He also is doing more than a dozen church-based dates for the American Heart Association promoting stroke-awareness and prevention in the African-American Community.

He will also spend more time at home. He shared, “Formerly, I was gone 20 days a month, but in 2011 it will be more like 10,” said Sapp, as he puts more focus on family and in working toward the academy project.

“Without question she is missed, and I can say honestly say there are times I am very lonely. But I have my kids who keep me laughing, and there have been tens of thousands of people who have Facebooked or Twittered with words of support that have been an unbelievable blessing.”
