WHAT IS CHECK THE SOUND?
Check the Sound is a cutting-edge half-hour program taped in front of a studio audience showcasing some of the hottest bands and performers from all over in a full-on concert setting. Geared toward reaching today’s Generation, the show offers up-to-date music and personal chat with the artists about their lives, their faith and their music, and there is a prayer line available to viewers.
HOW DO I ATTEND A TAPING OF CHECK THE SOUND?
Tickets are available for those living in or visiting the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Tickets are free and have no cash value and are offered on a first come first serve basis. On September the 21st-22nd 2009, The Higher Ground Record Pool and 1 Accord DJ Alliance will host its 1st Annual DJ Conference.
This milestone marks the creation of the 1st National DJ Conference for the Faith-based community. The Conference is geared to educate, empower, and mobilize Gospel and Christian DJs while equipping them in grassroots promotions and business stabilization.
It all kicks off in the city where DJs (Hip Hop and Gospel) where birthed—New York City. Open to DJs, artists, record labels, and radio personalities this conference through a combination of workshops, seminars, DJ exhibits, artists showcases and some “Holy Ghost” partying, will leave attendees with a better understanding of the united role they play for those in the Faith-based music industry.
NY based HGRP President Dr. D says, “With the rise of artist driven monolithic syndicated urban radio shows, it’s time for an organized DJ driven movement”.
