Randal D. Pinkett (born 1971 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is a business consultant who in 2005 was the winner of season four of the reality television show, The Apprentice. Pinkett was the first African American to win the US version of The Apprentice.

Well it just so happens that he is a great believer in God.

It is so encouraging to read about his love for God on his website!

He writes on his Website

My faith and belief in God have always been a source of strength. First and foremost, I am a child of God – a spiritual being with a physical manifestation, rather than a physical being with a spiritual element. My spirituality permeates my personal relationships, my business interactions, and my volunteer activities. I thank the Lord every day for allowing me to see another day, for the food before me when I eat, and for the people he has brought into my life. In reading Bible scripture on a daily basis, I strive to allow God’s word to be the compass that guides my life.

Young people in South London are invited to audition and become part of a funky new contemporary choir aiming to be the most talked about youth chorale outfit in London that is being formed in the London Borough of Greenwich.

This soon to be launched choir is the brainchild of Michael Kosmas, a young social entrepreneur, and will provide young people with opportunities to develop new musical skills, build confidence, perform in public and learn to work in a team with others.

Michael stated, “One thing guaranteed to attract the interest and unite young people together is music. This new choir will give young people of different ages and backgrounds an opportunity to meet other young people, form new friendships and more importantly acquire new skills that will arise as a result of learning new songs and performing in a choir. Plus they’ll be inspiring the public with the great songs they’ll be singing.”

Following the auditions, official rehearsals will start on January 30th 2010. Choir members will learn to sing a mixture of gospel songs and inspirational numbers and plans are in motion to officially launch the choir in July.

On Thursday morning, December 31, 2009, Richard “s/ave” Douglas (36) went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ. He died in his sleep at his home in Houston, Texas from an epileptic seizure. While he had battled the condition for many years, this was an unexpected occurrence and a complete shock to his friends and family.

Born on March 27, 1973, s/ave was a devoted follower of Jesus and passionate fan of hip hop music. In the mid-90’s he was on staff at Grapetree Records and served as editor of Heaven’s Hip Hop Magazine – one of the first true attempts at Christian rap journalism and a lifeline for fans of the faith-based music in the pre-Internet age. He penned the “Real Criticisms” column and initiated an “Unsigned Acts” issue that spotlighted future Christian rap figures such as Nuwine, Future Shock, and Raphi Henley (aka Shames Worthy).

After moving to Houston, s/ave started the ONEMIND newsletter in 1995 out of his one-bedroom apartment and continued to cover the genre. As the one-sheet garnered more readers, it grew to into ONEMIND Magazine and featured the writings of James “Bad Luck” Parry, Kenneth “Bus” Falls, Jr. (owner of The Bus Shop), Excelsius, Jelani Greenidge, and Sketch the Journalist.

As the world wide web boomed and ushered in the Information Age, s/ave adapted his magazine to an online forum. OM95.com continued to bring album reviews, news, and analysis to the Christian hip hop culture. Its vibrant message board continued to build community until the launch of DaSouth.com.

That site was created to be unified banner site for gospel rappers in the Gulf Coast area. The concept was that artists would forgo forging their own web identities and adopt the DaSouth.com name. Not only that, s/ave was strategic in the launch of The Bus Shop – the first and longest running Christian Hip Hop store on the web – along with Kenneth “Bus” Falls, Jr. He gave the store its name and also created it’s first website.

In this world of busy schedules and never-ending obligations, our lives leave little time for reflection upon the bigger issues… Like God. To help make sure He is not forgotten, Luddite Creative LLC introduces BiblicalMail.com.

BiblicalMail.com, the first, exclusive email-based daily bible, allows people the opportunity to read the Bible in small, manageable portions via email. Unlike other “scripture of the day” emails, BiblicalMail sends daily emails of the entire bible in order at intervals of the user’s choosing. BiblicalMail.com is free, simple to sign up, and easy to opt-out. It allows the user to set the time, frequency, and length of readings in addition to giving the user the option to receive the Old or the New Testaments.

BiblicalMail.com, a pet project of founder and CEO of Luddite Creative LLC, Matthew Harp, was designed to help spread the Gospel to those whose, those who had not been prior-exposed to the bible or whose daily lives distracted them from Bible study.

The initial reaction to BiblicalMail has been quite favorable, averaging about 500 hits per day within the first week of operation. Future plans of extension are already in the works, including providing content in multiple languages, adding scripture analysis by renowned theologians, and the option to read the Bible in different versions.

As the noughties come to a close, Gospel Link are set to position themselves to make a huge impact in the next decade. Best known for The GL Live events and the publication of Gospel Link magazine, the organisation has seen a number of changes including a rebranding, the launch of a brand new website and a number of changes within the core team.

After 42 issues, the Gospel Link magazine goes from strength to strength. In a scene where other gospel music publications have been launched with a fanfare but folded before making it into double figures, Gospel Link has set the standards for design and championing new artists from the UK and USA.

The new decade sees the creation of a new team to produce the magazine and create fresh material for the completely new website. The appointment of the respected broadcaster and journalist Mike Rimmer as the magazine’s editor has already seen the magazine go through some changes as a new team of young, fresh writers are currently coming on board to take magazine and website to a new level of creativity and professionalism in the new decade.

Rimmer shares, “I’m aware that I have joined Gospel Link at an exciting time in its history and want to be part of a team that takes it all to a new level. Inevitably there have been changes and difficult choices, especially in the creation of a new team but this is all part of positioning the magazine and website for the future.”

Really Woolly

Within the next two months, an expected 250,000 families will participate in the Happy Birthday, Jesus party via an interactive online experience.

Church groups and individual Christian families will log onto www.ReallyWoolly.com to interact with a live teacher for 30-minute sessions. The teacher will encourage each child by name as the kids play biblically-based games and learn about the meaning of Christmas online. For safety reasons, the children will be able to see the teacher, but the instructor will not be able to see the kids.

Each family will go through a week-long program that culminates in a birthday party.

“In our consumer society, once a week, parents drop kids at the children’s department and head off to their own classes or service,” said Kendra Moore, Dayspring marketing manager. “We come alongside parents and bridge the gap between Sundays with biblically sound, entertaining, and engaging activities to pull families closer together.”

The Happy Birthday, Jesus party is a new program hosted by Really Woolly Kids, a Dayspring division. Really Woolly Kids launched the technology for the Happy Birthday Jesus Party to offer a safe place where kids and parents can learn spiritually while having fun.

All the games and activities will involve lovable lamb characters that made Really Woolly the top-selling division in Dayspring. Organizers believe the Happy Birthday, Jesus party is the world’s largest birthday party.

Ranjy Thomas, founder and president of Flying Rhinoceros – which has partnered with Dayspring to launch the interactive online experience – predicts the Internet platform will be the “best after-school program in the nation” within 18 months.

“From searching the world, at this point we know of no Christian or secular technology where a teacher connects live with kids in an interactive game platform,” said Thomas. “This is a first.”

The party runs throughout November and December 2009.
