Once again Russell is showing appreciation to his newfound international fanbase by giving away Born 2 Die free of charge as his thank-you present to everyone for their support, love and prayers in 2009. When Russell wrote the song, he was thinking of how God the Father would go about reminding us of the purpose for sending His Son. In his words, “it is the realisation of what Christmas is really about… It is all about God’s love for us and the lengths to which He would go to bring us back to him. Christmas is all about Salvation’s Plan.”
