For the first time the Law Society is celebrating Black History Month
The celebration launch event, ‘Celebrating Black Achievement’
The event takes place on the 2nd October 2009 from 18.30 to 21.30

The programme will include addresses by high profile lawyers; food, drink and entertainment; and networking opportunities with successful black lawyers. The Law Society’s Black History Month Launch event will showcase the top black lawyers in the country.
Angela Jackman, of Fisher Meredith LLP who was presented with an Award for Outstanding Achievement at the prestigious Legal Aid Practitioners’ Group (LAPG) Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year 2009 awards, has been invited to attend the launch event to network and inspire other young people and lawyers to achieve their career goals in the law.
Angela’s contribution to the legal profession, particularly in legal aid and the work she does with young people makes her a natural choice for this event.
