Coko from R&B Group SWV releases her 2nd Gospel Album – Video & Soundbytes
| Wow! When I was younger, although I am still very young now… I loved SWV! Years ago, I also remember being in New York, Greenwich Villiage and I saw them live and direct, just hanging out. They looked even prettier up close and personal. Unfortunately Coko, the first release missed me but I am tuned in for this one! I am ‘RIGHT HERE’! Pardon the PUN! For those who don’t know that was the name of one of their hit singles. | |
Coko, the former lead singer of the platinum recording trio Sisters With Voices is set to release her second gospel CD entitled, ‘The Winner in Me’ on Light Records.
Her signature powerhouse vocals are unmistakable. And the first release called ‘Wait On God‘ is a classic gospel tune brimming with emotion and inspiration.

Life after SWV
After their breakup some eight years later, Coko released one solo R&B album then signed onto a gospel label and married music producer Mike “Big Mike” Clemmons who is the father of her second son, Jalen.
Back to her roots with Gospel
Coko’s full gospel solo debut, Grateful, was released in 2006 and debuted at #5on Billboard’s Top Independent albums chart. So her upcoming CD has great expectations.
Kelly Price, who also established a following in the R&B genre before crossing over to gospel, is a guest artist on Coko’s CD. Other guest artists include Canton Jones, Israel Haughton and Lady (Cyde) Tibba (Gamble) who is Coko’s mother.
